The victory, which came courtesy of a late goal from Danish star player, Andreas Olsen, has put Denmark in a strong position to progress to the next round of qualifying.

With two games remaining in Group 3, Denmark now sit second in the standings behind leaders Italy, who edged out Georgia 3-2 in their opening match.

Danish coach, Morten Kjeldgaard, was thrilled with the performance of his team and praised their resilience in coming from behind to secure the win.

“We knew it wouldn’t be easy against a tough opponent like Georgia,” he said. “But we showed great character and determination to get the result we needed.”
