Lens Suffers Heavy Defeat at Home to Côme

Lens’ hopes of a comeback were dashed as they suffered a 9-1 thrashing at home to Côme in Ligue 2.

The match got off to a disastrous start for Lens, with Côme’s Thomas Douvikas scoring just seven minutes into the game. He added two more goals before the break, and Nicolas Paz made it 3-0 for Côme in the 40th minute.

Lens finally managed to get on the scoresheet through Rodrigo Aguilar in the 65th minute, but it was too little, too late. Côme’s dominance continued after the break, with six more goals being scored by various players.

The result leaves Lens struggling at the bottom of the Ligue 2 table, while Côme moves up to a mid-table position.

The defeat will be a major concern for Lens’ manager as they look to turn their season around. Côme, on the other hand, will be looking to build on this impressive win and push up the table.
