NWSL PITCH NOTES: WEEK 18 PREVIEW
With Week 18 of the NWSL season just around the corner, several teams are looking to make a statement and extend their winning streaks. North Carolina’s Evelyn Ijeh and Ashley Sanchez have both reached double-digit goals this season, marking just the third time in NWSL history that two teammates have each scored 10 or more goals in the same regular season.
Racing Louisville enters Week 18 riding a three-match winning streak, the longest regular-season run in club history. Racing has scored nine goals during the streak and will look to make it four straight Wednesday against Seattle before traveling to Chicago for its second match of the week.
Houston forward Kat Rader is also making waves this season, entering Week 18 with seven goals, already the most by a rookie in Dash history. Her next goal would tie Riley Tiernan for the second-most goals by a rookie in NWSL history.
