Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) edged out Gnistan 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at the Saviniemi Stadium, securing a vital three points in their quest for Finnish Veikkausliiga supremacy.

The home team took an early lead through a well-crafted move, with their striker finding the back of the net in the 25th minute. Gnistan pushed hard for an equalizer but were unable to breach KuPS’s solid defense.

Just as it seemed that KuPS would hold on for a narrow win, Gnistan’s forward scored a stunning goal in the 85th minute to level the scores. However, KuPS’s determination paid off when their substitute sealed the winner in stoppage time, securing a hard-fought victory.

The win propels KuPS up the Veikkausliiga table, while Gnistan will be looking to bounce back from this defeat and regain momentum in their campaign.
