Copa Paraguay: Alejandro Silva Returns to Recoleta FC
Alejandro Silva, a 36-year-old Uruguayan forward, has made his return to Recoleta FC after being presented by the club on Sunday. This marks Silva’s second stint with the team, having previously played for them.
After helping Olimpia win the Apertura 2026 title, Silva was informed by coach Pablo ‘Vitamina’ Sánchez that he would not be considered for the second semester. However, Recoleta FC has now given him a new opportunity to shine in the Copa Sudamericana 2026, the Clausura tournament, and the Copa Paraguay.
Alongside Silva, Argentine striker Paul Charpentier will also join the team as part of their new signings. The two players are expected to make an impact in the upcoming tournaments.
