Cerro Porteño and Guaraní Loan Players to Sportivo 2 de Mayo
The Copa Paraguay is heating up as teams continue to strengthen their rosters for the upcoming tournament. Sportivo 2 de Mayo has made some significant moves, securing the loan services of two players from Cerro Porteño and one from Guaraní.
Among those joining the Pedro Juan-based team are Rodrigo Gómez, a 20-year-old right-back, and Fredy Silvero, an 19-year-old forward. The latter is expected to bring some much-needed firepower to the attack, while Gómez’s defensive prowess will be a welcome addition to the backline.
Guaraní has also loaned out César Ramírez, a 22-year-old midfielder who previously had a stint with Sportivo 2 de Mayo. This move is seen as a strategic one, allowing Guaraní to assess Ramírez’s development while giving him valuable playing time in the Copa Paraguay.
The influx of new talent will undoubtedly boost Sportivo 2 de Mayo’s chances in the tournament. With players like Alfredo Machado, Alexis Villalba, and Ángel Aguilera already on board, this team is shaping up to be a force to be reckoned with.

The team’s manager, Eduardo Ledesma, will be eager to see his new recruits in action as they prepare for the Clausura 2026 and Copa Paraguay tournaments.
