Cheshire Senior Cup Sees Thrilling Action

The Cheshire Senior Cup has been a hotbed of excitement this season, and last weekend’s matches did not disappoint.

In one of the standout fixtures, Runcorn Town took on Winsford United at the Halton Stadium. The home team came out strong, with midfielder Liam Ludden scoring in the 25th minute to give them an early lead.

However, Winsford fought back with a goal from striker Tom Hughes in the 35th minute. The match remained neck and neck until Runcorn’s Liam Ludden scored his second of the game in the 65th minute.

The final score was 2-1 to Runcorn Town, but it was clear that Winsford United gave them a run for their money. This season’s Cheshire Senior Cup is shaping up to be one of the most competitive yet.
