Forge FC Looks to Extend Winning Streak Against Halifax Wanderers

Forge FC will be looking to extend their six-game winning streak when they take on Halifax Wanderers at the Wanderers Grounds in Matchweek 15 of the Canadian Premier League.

With a win on Sunday, Forge FC could tie the record for most consecutive wins in the Canadian Premier League, currently held by Cavalry FC who won their first seven matches as a club back in the league’s inaugural season in 2019.

Forge has also had success against Halifax this season, winning all three meetings so far, including a 1-0 victory on June 10 in Hamilton. Brian Wright scored the lone goal for Forge in that match and will be looking to add to his tally of four goals on the season.

Halifax, meanwhile, has struggled against Forge this season and will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss last Friday when they held a 2-0 lead over FC Supra du Québec at half-time only to see it slip away in the second half.

With Halifax head coach Vanni Sartini serving a red card suspension, assistant Darryl Fordyce will likely be on the sidelines for this match, which is set to kick off at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT on Sunday.
