Bayern Munich Thrash Magdeburg to Reach DFB Cup Last 16

DFB Cup holders Bayern Munich put on a scintillating display of attacking football as they thrashed Bundesliga 2 high-flyers Magdeburg 6-1 to reach the round of 16.

Michael Olise was once again the star of the show, netting twice and providing an assist for Ismail Saibari in a dominant performance from the Bavarians.

Olise opened the scoring with a beautifully crafted goal in the 10th minute, assisted by Saibari’s clever pass. Magdeburg responded quickly, however, as Żukowski equalized just five minutes later.

Saibari restored Bayern’s lead in the 21st minute, and Olise made it 3-1 with a penalty kick in the second half. Davies sealed the win for the Bavarians with his goal in the 70th minute.
