Cuiabá Sign Goalkeeper Gustavo Busatto Before FIFA Ban Takes Effect
Cuiabá have made a significant move ahead of their Série B campaign by signing goalkeeper Gustavo Busatto for the remainder of the season.
The 35-year-old former Caxias keeper had his registration published in the CBF’s BID, the Boletim Informativo Diário, before FIFA’s transfer ban on the club is due to take effect on Tuesday 25th August.
This timing leaves him cleared to play in Série B, and Busatto will be looking to make an immediate impact for his new team.
Busatto has made 30 appearances this year, six for CSKA Sofia in the Bulgarian league, and will be looking to bring his experience to Cuiabá’s goal.
