Young Serbian Midfielder Aleksa Cvetković Joins Whitecaps FC

Aleksa Cvetković, a talented 21-year-old midfielder from Serbia, has made the move to Major League Soccer after being acquired by Vancouver Whitecaps FC via transfer from OFK Beograd in the Serbian Superliga.

Cvetković, who stands at 6′ 0″ and weighs in at 165 lbs, brings a high level of energy and workrate to the midfield position. In his three seasons with OFK Beograd, he made 73 appearances and has already caught the attention of Whitecaps FC scouts.

The young Serbian international has agreed to a U22 Initiative contract through the 2029-30 season, with an option for the club to extend his stay through the 2030-31 campaign. This move is seen as a significant coup for Whitecaps FC, who are looking to build a strong and competitive team in the years to come.
