Ivory Coast Ligue 1: FC San Pedro Bounce Back with a Win in Korhogo
FC San Pedro secured their first win of the 2026-2027 season in the Côte d’Ivoire professional league, defeating US Tchologo 2-0 on Sunday 4 October at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo.
The Pétruciens responded swiftly to their opening day defeat against Zoman FC, giving their opponents no time to settle into the match. Koffi Wilfried opened the scoring for the visitors in the 8th minute, making it 1-0. Two minutes later, Karamoko Alpha doubled the lead by scoring FC San Pedro’s second goal in the 10th minute.
With these two early goals, the visitors took a lead which they managed to hold onto until the final whistle. FC San Pedro thus leave Korhogo with all three points and are back on track following their defeat on the opening day.
FC San Pedro’s first victory has kick-started their campaign, and they will look to build on this momentum as the season progresses.
