Columbus Crew 2 Sign Three Academy Products to MLS NEXT Pro Contracts

The Columbus Crew 2 have announced the signings of three talented young players to MLS NEXT Pro contracts. Forward Immanuel Ewing, midfielder Jorge Salmeron, and forward O’Neal Taylor Jr. will join the team after spending time with the Crew Academy.

This move brings the total number of Academy products signed to Crew 2 to 10, a testament to the success of the club’s youth development program. “Each of the signings made this week is a testament to the success of our Academy,” said Academy Director Brian Bliss. “All three players have earned this opportunity and are expected to contribute with Crew 2 in MLS NEXT Pro.”

Immanuel Ewing, a 16-year-old forward, has already made his mark on the team. He contributed to the Academy’s first MLS NEXT Cup win, helping the U18 team lift the U19 Championship in May. Ewing was named tournament MVP after scoring two goals, including one in the final against St. Louis CITY SC.

O’Neal Taylor Jr.’s image is a testament to his exciting young talent. He has already made an impact on the field, contributing to the team’s success with his skills and determination.
