Warrington Rylands Soar into Play-off Places with Thrilling 3-1 Win

Warrington Rylands made a statement on Saturday afternoon, securing a crucial 3-1 victory over Gainsborough Trinity in the Northern Premier League. The win propelled Neil Reynolds’ side into the play-off places, jumping seventh in the process.

The match was a goal-fest in the first half, with Warrington Rylands taking an early lead through Calum Costello’s finish from Charlie Munro’s delivery. However, it was only a matter of minutes before the hosts doubled their advantage, as Munro and Harrison Wood both found the back of the net.

Wood’s strike, in particular, was a highlight-reel moment, with the leading scorer arrowing a 30-yard effort into the bottom corner. The visitors did manage to pull one goal back through Lewis Butroid, but it proved to be too little, too late for Gainsborough Trinity.

The win marks Warrington Rylands’ third consecutive league victory and sets them up nicely for their next match against Guiseley. With the momentum firmly on their side, Reynolds’ team will be looking to build on this impressive performance and continue their push towards the top of the table.
