SAO PAULO – Former Netherlands international Clarence Seedorf has been presented as the new coach of Brazilian club Corinthians. The 45-year-old Seedorf, a midfielder who won the Champions League with AC Milan in 2007, will take over the reins at the Paulista-based club.

Seedorf, who played for several top clubs including AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid during his playing career, has been out of coaching since leaving Botafogo in 2022. He will be tasked with leading Corinthians back to the top of Brazilian football after a disappointing season last year.

Corinthians have struggled to find consistency in recent years, but Seedorf’s appointment is seen as a major coup for the club. The Dutchman has a reputation for being one of the greatest midfielders of his generation and will bring a wealth of experience to the Corinthians dugout.
