Ivory Coast Ligue 1: ASEC Mimosas and AFAD Draw 1–1
ASEC Mimosas, the defending champions of the Ivorian professional league, are still searching for their first win of the season. The Abidjan-based club drew with AFAD on Saturday at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium.
The match was an intense one, with the score remaining level until the 78th minute. Mohamed Touré broke the deadlock for AFAD, but ASEC Mimosas were able to equalise just seven minutes later through Kevin Bakaré’s goal.
This draw marks the third consecutive matchday that ASEC Mimosas have failed to secure a win. They were beaten by Yamoussoukro FC in their opening match and drew with Stella Club on the second matchday of Ligue 1.
ASEC Mimosas will be looking to get back on track in their next match, but it won’t be easy. The team faces a tough challenge ahead as they take on other top teams in the league.
