Santos Loanees Shine in Brazil Serie B

Luisão and Hayner, two talented players on loan from Santos, made their mark in Brazil’s Serie B over the Fifa break.

Luisão’s Goiás suffered a 1-0 defeat to Atlético-GO, but Hayner was instrumental in Vila Nova’s 2-0 victory over Londrina. He played for 76 minutes before being substituted out of the game.

This weekend marked the first time this season that any Santos loanees featured in Serie B. The results were a mixed bag, with Luisão’s team falling short and Hayner’s side emerging victorious.
