Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy: Colne Edge Out Daisy Hill

Colne secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Daisy Hill in their Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy match on Saturday.

The winning goal came early, courtesy of Jamie Walker’s strike for Colne. Despite creating several scoring opportunities, the visitors were unable to add to their tally, thanks in part to some impressive saves from Daisy Hill goalkeeper Harry Allen.

Daisy Hill Assistant Manager Chris Brown acknowledged his team’s disappointing performance, stating that they had been outplayed by their opponents.

“We’re really disappointed in our performance,” said Brown. “We knew what Colne would come here and do, and they did it down to a T.”

The loss leaves Daisy Hill with work to do in the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy, while Colne will look to build on their momentum.
