Nice Signs Young Algerian Defender Abdelhak Ben Edir

French club Nice has made a significant move in the transfer market by signing 19-year-old Algerian centre-back Abdelhak Ben Edir from Paradou AC. The young defender, who represents the Algerian U23 national team, had an impressive season with Paradou AC, playing 25 matches, including 22 in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Ben Edir expressed his excitement about joining Nice, stating that he is “very happy to join Nice, a club we follow a lot in Algeria.” He also mentioned that it has previously welcomed players from Paradou AC, and he hopes to continue developing and showcasing his potential at the highest level.

Nice’s sporting director, Roger Ricourt, has confirmed that Ben Edir will begin his European experience with the reserve team. He emphasized the importance of giving him enough time to develop and not rushing his progress.
