Copa Paraguay Update: General Caballero and Independiente Share Top Spot

General Caballero JLM’s bid for sole leadership of the Intermedia division was thwarted on Saturday as they drew 0-0 with Independiente de Campo Grande at Ricardo Grégor Stadium in the 20th matchday of Paraguay’s Second Division.

The reigning Copa Paraguay champions now share top spot with 12 de Junio, who have also accumulated 40 points but still have a match to play against Paraguarí on Monday at Villa Hayes.

This result adds an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming clash between Benjamín Aceval and Deportivo Santaní, who are currently fourth (35) and third (36), respectively. The two teams will face off on Sunday in the low-lying Chaco region.
