The fifth round of the Campeonato Mineiro’s Módulo II saw four exciting matches that shook up the group standings. In the Grupo A, Caldense and Mamoré played out a goalless draw at the Ronaldão in Poços de Caldas.

The match was marred by a worrying incident involving Caldense’s Lucca Schimidt, who fell unconscious after a collision with an opponent’s head. Fortunately, he received immediate medical attention and was taken to hospital for further examination. The club later confirmed that the player is recovering well.

Meanwhile, in Divinópolis, Guarani and Uberaba shared the spoils in a 2-2 thriller at the Arena Sicoob Divicred. The visitors took an early lead with goals from Gilberto and Deividi, but Guarani’s Jackson and Giovanny levelled the scores after the interval.

In other Grupo A action, Guará is now fifth in the standings with 5 points, while Colorado sits second with 8 points. In the Grupo B, Ipatinga suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Valeriodoce, courtesy of Rodrigo Fumaça’s first-half goal.

Finally, Aymorés secured a convincing 3-1 win over Coimbra in Ubá, with Gustavo Braga, Tardeli Reis, and Gustavo Café scoring for the winners. Alan Francisco netted a consolation goal for Coimbra.

The results have left the standings in a state of flux, with teams vying for positions in their respective groups.
