It does not matter if they do not finish top four in La Liga if they manage to pull miracles and emerge European Champions this season. It seems far-fetched, but they managed to reach the quarter-finals after being grouped with Manchester United and Atalanta. After all, they did win the Europa League and took Chelsea, last season’s Champions League winners, to penalties in the UEFA Super Cup, where they ended up losing.

In their last three matchups, Bayern Munich have won twice and lost once. With five goals scored in their previous meeting and a rather prime Lewandowski, Bayern will walk into Allianz Arena as the favorites to proceed to the semi-finals. You can count on Lewandowski to rise to the occasion. The 33-year-old is arguably on top form with 12 goals in nine Champions League matches and 32 in 29 Bundesliga matches this season.

Bayern Munich will play without Tolisso following an injury. Julian Nagelsmann has almost the whole squad fit and ready for Tuesday night. Similarly, Villarreal will play without Alberto Moreno, who is out on injury.

Last week's 1-0 defeat came as a shock to us. However, Bayern Munich remains the likely side to proceed to the semi-finals. Lewandowski ought to make a statement on Tuesday night.
