Dortmund play hosts to Hoffenheim tonight in a German Bundesliga game that could be full of entertainment.

To many people this will seem like a game that Dortmund should be winning but we are not so sure here at FootyGuru towers - we can see a tricky night ahead for the home team.

Last time out Dortmund lost to a Freiburg team that they really should be beating and before that they lost the Super Cup to Bayern (a result we can excuse in this instance).

Their confidence coming into this game may come from their opening game of the season at home which they won 5-2 but they have failed to back that up with anything substantial in both results and performances.

Hoffenheim on the other hand have started the season strongly with a 4-0 win away from home on the opeing day of the season and following that up with a 2-2 draw against Union Berlin.

That is six goals scored and only two conceeded and they have put in some decent performances as well.

Both teams have danger-men which points to a game where goals are likely to be in abundence - Haaland needs no bigging up for Dortmund but Hoffenheim will be looking for Jacob Bruun Larsen to keep his run going after scoring in both his Bundesliga games so far this season.

The algorithm has called this game as a win for Hoffenheim predicting the away team to land this 2-1. With two of the last three meetings of this fixture finishing all square (2-2, 3-3) we are thinking it could be the same outcome again tonight with our correct score pick being 2-2.
